The Nitte Institution of Medical Laboratory Sciences was established in the year 1998. It is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

Teh college is situated in a 50 acre campus at Deralakatte, Mangalore. Mangalore is an important sea port on the west coast of Karnataka State in India. It is about 800 kms south of Mumbai and 350 kms west of Bangalore. Mangalore is the district headquarters and is well connected to the neighboring states through an efficient network of Road, rail and Air transport.
