Direct admission to NRI / Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin and children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries:
The college has the approval for directly admitting students in 15% supernumerary quota. This is applicable to N.R.Is, Foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin and children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries. The admission under this category is based on merit in the qualifying examination in the core subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Bio-technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Science / Biology.
The candidates admitted under this category are required to produce proof of their NRI / Foreign National / PIO status i.e., if the student has passed the 12th std. abroad, attested photocopies of the transfer certificate, valid passport and student visa; if the student has studied in India and parent is working abroad, then proof of employment of the parent, attested copy of the passport of the parent, and PIO card (for persons of Indian origin).
Students seeking admission under the NRI category should submit a separate application to the college in the prescribed format, available at the Trust Office, Mangalore or from the website www.nitte.ac.in along with the following documents:

Attested photocopy of the 10th standard marks card.

Attested photocopy of the 10 + 2 marks card.

A demand draft for Rs.500/- towards registration fee favoring "Nitte Education Trust - A/c NMAMIT", payable at Mangalore.

Proof of NRI status.
The payment of fee shall be from the Non Resident External (N.R.E) account of the parent.
The admissions under the General category will be through the process of centralised single window counseling on the basis of merit obtained in the Common Entrance Test that maybe prescribed for the purpose by the Government of Karnataka.
