Eligibility
The applicant should have secured atleast 35% marks in aggregate of Mathematics and Science in the qualifying examination passed, i.e., SSLC of the Karnataka Secondary Education Board or any other examination declared equivalent to it.
Qualifying marks for admission to Modern Office Practice and Apparel Design & Fabrication Technology is 35% in aggregate in the SSLC.
Eighty percent of the seats have been allotted under the Government quota and 20% of the seats under the management quota.
Admission Procedure
The last date for submission of the completed form at the Trust office / Polytechnic is May 25. On scrutiny of the applications received before the last date prescribed, those eligible will be called for an interview. The number of candidates to be called for the interview will, however be restricted to one and half times the actual number of seats available for admission so as to accommodate the vacancies arising due to failure to appear for the interview or subsequent drop-outs.
In case a candidate is selected at the interview, the prescribed fees will have to be remitted immediately after which the candidate will be issued an admission order. The amount to be paid will be mentioned in the interview letter. The right of allotment of a particular branch to each student rests with the Selection Committee. Candidates with a high percentage of marks and seeking admission may contact the Trust Office at Mangalore at the earliest to ensure provisional reservation, if desired.
Registration Fee
A registration fee of Rs. 350/- should be sent with the completed application form by way of a crossed D.D. payable to the "Nitte Education Trust", Mangalore. This could also be paid in cash at the Trust Office / Polytechnic Office.
A xerox copy of the marks card of the qualifying examinations, proof of date of birth and a passport size photograph affixed should be sent along with the applications.
List of documents to be produced at the time of interview and admission

Original marks card of the 10th Std. examination or equivalent with two photostat copies.

Study Certificate for a minimum of 5 years of study in Karnataka for those who have studied in the State (Form enclosed) duly countersigned by the jurisdictional block education office - Original + 1 copy.

Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended - Original + 1 copy.

Candidates from outside Karnataka who have passed an examination equivalent to the 10th Std. of the Secondary Examination Board of Karnataka shall have to obtain an eligibility certificate from the Secretary, Board of Technical Examinations, Bangalore and submit the same before admission to the course.

Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner (available on the application form) - 1 copy.

7 copies of stamp size photographs - two to be affixed on the application form and five to be enclosed for later use.
- Rural certificate (for 10 years of study from 1st Std. to 10th Std.) duly countersigned by the Jurisdictional Block Education Officer for rural candidates who have scored 35% marks in Maths and Science in the SSLC examination.
Note
- Parents / Guardians should accompany the candidates while attending the interview.
- Once the candidate is admitted to the course, no request for refund of fees paid will be entertained under any circumstances.
