The Nitte Institute of Speech and hearing was established in the year 2007. It is affiliated to Manglore University University, Manglore, approved by the government of Karnataka and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delshi.

The college is situated in 50 acre campus at Deralakatte, Mangalore. Mangalore is an important sea port on the west cost of Karnatka state in India. It is about 800 kms south of Mumbai and 350Kms west of Bangalore. Mangalore is the district headquarters and is well connected to the neighboring states through an efficient network of roads, rail, air transport system.
